On December 23rd at 7:18 AM Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash in the 2900-Mile of Main Street Road. When deputies arrived on scene, it was determined the motor vehicle left the roadway overturning multiple time before it came to rest in a field when the driver failed to negotiate a curve.
The driver, Ryan Whitmore, age 32 of Legrand was located several feet from the vehicle who had sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. No other occupants were located during a search of the area. The crash is still under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Green Mountain Fire and EMS, and Unity Point Ambulance.
