Civil Division

The civil office strives to perform duties in a timely and professional manner.

Services are provided to attorneys, the courts, and to the public.

Other services of civil process include:

  • civil papers updated and maintained in a database
  • the execution of civil papers, local and out of county
  • serving garnishments, summons, and complaints
  • serving subpoenas
  • writs
  • general executions

ADVANCE FEES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PAPERS THAT ARE SERVED. Please call the civil office for advanced fee information at (641) 754-6380.

Records Division

The Records Department maintains current criminal records, court files, and FBI Uniform Crime Reports pertaining to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office. The staff complies, maintains, and disseminates information from all criminal documents generated within the office, as well as those received from outside law enforcement agencies.

We deal with everything from crimes, arrests, traffic accidents, property damage/thefts, and missing persons. This information is recorded in the Marshall County Sheriff's Office database. We also establish and maintain criminal history records for all arrests; and coordinate records management functions for the entire department.
