1500 block of E. Anson St. in Marshalltown - An investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving children, has led to the arrest of a Legrand man. Arrest warrants were issued this date, and at about 4:00pm, Marshall County Sheriff's Deputies arrested the suspect, without incident, in the 1500 block of E. Anson St. in Marshalltown.
Arrested was:
Phillip Lee Carter, age 29, of 605 W. Main St., Lot #21, Legrand, IA.
Carter has been charged with the following offenses under the State Code of Iowa:
Carter is being held at the Marshall County Jail without bond pending an initial appearance in court on May 31st, 2012.
The charges against Carter involve alleged sexual acts against children under the age of twelve, who lived within the suspect's household, during the past two years. This case is yet under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the Department of Human Services, and the Marshall County Attorney's Office. Carter is the lone suspect in this case at this time, and additional charges are pending.
