Marshalltown Iowa - At approximately 2100 hrs on July 16th, 2013, investigators from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation took the following individual into custody, in relationship to the murder of Rebecca Diane Hall, of Marshalltown.
Arrested and charged at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office was:
Mathew Irving, Age 40 of 536 N. 1st Street, Marshalltown, Iowa
Mr. Irving was being charged with "Murder in the First Degree", (Iowa Code - 707.2/1) He was placed into the Marshall County Jail where he is being held without Bond, pending initial appearance before the Court. Murder in the First Degree is a Class A felony which is punishable by a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
The investigation continues into this incident. At the time of this release there are additional charges anticipated. No interviews or further information will be released at this time.
