1800 mile of North Center Street Road - This is a duplication of the earlier Press Release that was faxed out to several News Agencies.
At approximately 0633 hours on 07/29/07, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1800-mile of North Center Street Road. The incident was reported by a passerby. The exact collision time is unknown but is to be believed to be between 0200 hours and 0633 hours.
Upon arrival, Deputies found a silver 2006 Chevrolet Malibu resting on the driver's side with one occupant. The operator of the vehicle, Robert Youngbear, 36, of Tama was fatally injured in the collision. He was pronounced dead on scene by Marshall County Medical Examiner Dr. David Bethel.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Marshall County Medical Examiner's Office, Marshalltown Police Department, Marshalltown Fire Department, Marshalltown Area Paramedic Service, Albion Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders.
At this time the incident is still under investigation. Anyone who may have information about the accident, or may have had contact with the deceased during the early morning hours of July 29, 2007, is asked to contact Deputy Sheriff Joel Phillips at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office. 641-754-6380
