Marshall County, Iowa - The Marshall County Sheriff's Office recently took part in the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau's sTEP Wave that was conducted from August 16 through September 2, 2019.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office, with our overall commitment to traffic safety in Marshall County tasked deputies to step up traffic enforcement in order to ensure a safer traveling environment to our citizens.
During this sTEP Wave, deputies arrested seven individuals for driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, eleven individuals were arrested for driving while their license was suspended or revoked and seven individuals were arrested for possession of illegal drugs. Additionally, deputies issued 142 traffic citations, 275 traffic warnings and assisted 18 stranded motorists.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office has a longstanding commitment to traffic safety and strives to make our roadways safe through Education, Outreach, and Enforcement.
