Marshalltown, Iowa - Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force, Marshall County Sheriff's Office and Marshalltown Police served two search warrants on Thursday evening, 9-5-08, resulting in the arrests of two local men for drug offenses.
A search warrant at 211 ½ N. lst St., in Marshalltown was served, where officers found an apparent marijuana growing operation inside the house. Officers seized 200 marijuana plants, and related equipment, along with processed marijuana, a substance believed to be hashish, and other drug paraphernalia. One subject was taken into custody at that location.
The second warrant was served at 6 E. Ingledue St., Marshalltown. Officers seized small amounts of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other items related to growing marijuana. A second suspect was arrested on scene pursuant to an arrest warrant.

Both men were charged with offenses related to the manufacture of marijuana, including:
Both men were held on bond after making initial appearances in court on Friday morning, 9-5-08.
Officers also seized a pickup truck, two vans, two trailers, three ATV's, a motorcycle, and other property.
The case continues to be under investigation. The marijuana plants seized had a street value of about $200,000.00.
