Marshall County Sheriff Deputies respond to an apparant burglary

1423 Oxford Ave., ( in north central Marshall Coun - At about 730am this date, Marshall County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 1423 Oxford Ave., ( in north central Marshall County ), after the resident arrived home and reported a male subject coming out of his house. The subject left in a vehicle and the resident called to report an apparent burglary.

Upon arrival, the resident further reported that a flat-screen television was missing from his house.

The suspect vehicle license plate and description was obtained, which was broadcast to area officers. The vehicle was located a short time later at a residence in the 1200 block of Fremont St., in Marshalltown. Further investigation led to the identification of the suspect, and an arrest warrant and search warrant were obtained.

At about 100pm this date, Deputies went to 1361 Prairie Ave., Marshalltown, and took the suspect into custody.

Arrested was:

Jake Larry Callaway, age 22, of 1361 Prairie Ave., Marshalltown.

Callaway was arrested on the warrant and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Callaway is being held on $5,000.00 bond, pending an initial appearance in court.

Deputies returned to the Fremont Street residence in Marshalltown and did recover the reported stolen television, which was valued at about $700.00.

The case remains under investigation.
