803 E. Main Street, Marshalltown Iowa - On May 2nd, 2012 agents with the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force and Marshalltown Police Department served arrest warrants at Tom's Cue & Brew, 803 E. Main Street, Marshalltown Iowa on Max Edward Nelson Jr. for two counts of delivery of a scheduled II controlled substance.
As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in Marshall County, Max Edward Nelson Jr., age 54, 111 N. 5th Avenue, Marshalltown Ia. was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on two counts of Delivery schedule II controlled substance, over 5 grams of methamphetamine each, Special Class B Felony.
Max Nelson Jr. is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.
Additional arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
Special Class B Felony carries a maximum penalty of up to 25 years, and $100,000.00 fine.
The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted with execution of the arrest warrants by the Marshalltown Police Department.
The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force is funded by a grant, through the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy. The Task Force operates in Grundy, Hardin, Marshall and Tama Counties.
