MIDTF Serves Narcotic Search Warrants

On April 28th, 2022, agents with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force served narcotic search warrants at two hotel rooms located at the Economy Inn, 3108 S Center St in Marshalltown, Iowa.

As a result of this investigation, six suspects were arrested and jailed on various criminal drug charges and local warrants:

Luis Omar Cabrera-Heredia, age 43 of Marshalltown

Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance w/ intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine) B-Felony

Tax Stamp Violation – D-Felony

Dagoberto Camarena-Rodriguez, age 33, of Marshalltown

Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance w/ intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine) B-Felony

Tax Stamp Violation – D-Felony

Sergio Avalos-Castellanos, age 44, of Marshalltown

Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance w/ intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine) B-Felony

Tax Stamp Violation – D-Felony

Lexi Lynch, age 23, of Marshalltown

Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance w/ intent to Deliver (Methamphetamine) B-Felony

Warrants

Karma Monk, age 21, of LeGrand

Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) - Serious Misdemeanor

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

Victor Carrillo Jr, age 29, of Marshalltown

Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance (Marijuana) - Serious Misdemeanor

During searches of the hotel rooms, vehicles, and individuals involved in this investigation, agents located and seized approximately seventeen (17) pounds of ice methamphetamine, cocaine, over $22,000 US Currency, drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle. The drugs seized in this investigation have an approximate street value of $380,000 depending on distribution methods.

Additional arrests are pending as the investigation continues.

The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted with the execution of the search warrants by the Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Marshalltown Police Department, and the Iowa State Division of Narcotics Enforcement.

The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force is funded by a grant, through the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy.
