1217 Marshall Dr. Marshalltown, Iowa - On April 27th, 2017 agents with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 1217 Marshall Dr. in Marshalltown, Iowa.
During a search of 1217 Marshall Dr. Marshalltown, officers located Jesus Herrera-Lopez, who was found to be concealing approximately a half pound of ice methamphetamine on his person. This quantity of methamphetamine has a street value of $5000-$27,000 depending on the distribution method. The investigation revealed that the ice methamphetamine had been concealed among food items in a package shipped to Marshalltown from Tijuana, MX.
As a result of this investigation, three suspects were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on various criminal drug charges:
Jesus Herrera-Lopez, age 37, 104 N 1th Ave., Marshalltown
Jeanette Smith, age 39, 1217 Marshall Dr., Marshalltown
Vinton Carmer, age 36, 1217 Marshall Dr., Marshalltown
Officers seized methamphetamine and marijuana as a result of the search warrant.
Additional arrests are pending as the investigation continues.
The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted with the execution of the search warrant by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement (DNE) and the Marshalltown Police Department.
The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force is funded by a grant, through the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy.
