Search Warrant Discovers Marijuana Grow Operation

2002 Gethmann Dr., Marshalltown Iowa - On Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 agents with the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 2002 Gethmann Dr. Marshalltown, Iowa as a result of a drug investigation.

A marijuana growing operation was located in the residence. Approximately 14 marijuana plants were seized along with processed marijuana packaged for sale. One firearm, U.S. Currency, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia was also seized. One arrest has been made as a result of the investigation.

  • Manufacturing schedule I controlled substance, class D Felony
  • Possession schedule I with intent to deliver, class D Felony
  • Failure to affix drug tax stamp, class D Felony

Additional arrests are pending as the investigation continues. The marijuana plants seized had a street value of about $14,000.00.

The Mid Iowa Drug Task Force was assisted with execution of the search warrant by the Marshall Police Department.

The Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force is funded by a grant, through the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and the Governor's Office of Drug Control Policy. The Task Force operates in Grundy, Hardin, Marshall and Tama Counties.
