Update to 11/25/15 Laurel incident press release

November 29, 2015

203 Market Street, Laurel, IA - Gerardo Cervantes is the name of the man who suffered a reported accidental gunshot wound to the head during the early morning hours November 25, 2015. The incident occurred at a friend's residence in Laurel.

As of Sunday evening, November 29, 2015, family sources report that Gerardo remains in critical condition at a Des Moines hospital.

The Sheriff's Office is continuing to evaluate the evidence in this case.
