MARSHALLTOWN WOMAN ARRESTED FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUG OFFENSES

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Amanda Manatt, age 35, was taken into custody and charged with the following criminal offenses:

  • Unlawfully Obtaining or Attempting to Obtain a Prescription Drug (Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III) (eight counts)
  • Child Endangerment Resulting in Bodily Injury
  • Tampering With Records

Manatt was arrested as a result of an investigation by the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force and State of Iowa Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. This arrest was made in connection with a Controlled Substance fraud crime that was reported to law enforcement in the winter of 2023. This matter remains under investigation.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
