Marshall County Iowa - The Marshall County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with a bomb threat incident that occurred on June 29, 2009.
On June 29, 2009, the Marshall County Communications Center received a 911 call from a subject advising of a bomb at the Courthouse in Marshalltown. Authorities from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Marshalltown Police Department and Marshalltown Fire Department responded and evacuated the courthouse. A search was conducted and no bomb was located.
Subsequent investigation, included interviews along with the service of search warrants in Marshall and Franklin Counties. Evidence and information gathered during the investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Marshalltown woman today, July 15, 2009.
Arrested was:
Kayti Leighann Ingebritson, age 24, of Marshalltown, Iowa.
Ingebritson was charged with "False Reports", a Class D Felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison, and/or a fine of not less than $750.00 but not exceeding $7,500.00.
Ingebritson was booked at the Marshall County Jail and released. She will make an initial appearance on 7-16-09.
The case remains under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, with additional arrests pending. No other details can be released at this time.
