1000 Vance Avenue - This is a follow-up release to the crop dusting incident on 07/22/2007 in northern Marshall County.
On 07/23/07 Investigators from Marshall County Sheriff's Office reviewed the case of the field workers being sprayed in Marshall County with the Iowa Department of Agriculture/Land Stewardship. Investigators for the Iowa DALS were given the information on the crop spraying incident that occurred in northern Marshall County in the 1000 mile of Vance Ave. The Department of Agriculture/Land Stewardship advised that they will be taking over this investigation and doing any necessary follow-up on the incident.
The Marshall County Sheriff Office has determined that the pilot of the crop duster was a Billy Dale Kinder (Age 65) of Lawrence, Arkansas. Mr. Kinder was employed by Hoppe Airspray (Terril, Iowa) at the time of the incident.
This concludes the Marshall County Sheriff's Office involvement in this investigation. Any future requests for information should be forwarded to the Iowa Department of Agriculture/Land Stewardship in Des Moines, Iowa.
